A STUDY IN CONTRAST

WORKS BY GERALD PATRICK & STEPHEN HOLLAND

The Human Circus

Stephen Holland came out of the Bronx in New York City. His early career was devoted to painting portraits of athletes and celebrities. His portraits were collected all world over. Once Holland felt he had explored that work to its pinnacle, he transitioned into painting from his gut. He takes an enormous leap to delve into his personal psyche and the experiences of people, places, and events of a surreal world of characters. Holland has found a release and a renewed energy for life and painting.

Meditation on Color

Gerald Patrick creates work that is brash in its simplicity with the use of color and form. Inspired by architecture and design seen in his travels around the globe, Jerry developed a painting technique that pushes the boundaries of hard-edged geometric color abstraction and expression. Patrick is also influenced by his first career as a pottery designer.
